Direct to Consumer Specialist Program Manager in Israel

Program Operations Overview

A Program Manager within the Direct-to-Consumer Operations team helps support transparency and focus within domain roadmaps, initiatives, and projects. In this role, you will be driving key initiatives in support of Pearson’s growing digital learning ecosystem and understand the strategic product roadmap to help inform sustainable and scalable processes that support our teams and business. You move quickly with the changing environment and support the team’s delivery of focused products and features, with the customer in mind always.

This role will involve driving cross-functional teams comprised of team members from UX Design, Engineering, Product Management, etc. from ideation to successful deployment to our customers. These projects often have tight timelines with many dependencies and nuances. The position requires engagement with all levels within the business as a facilitator and champion; to plan, organize, track, and communicate. This position requires an energetic, experienced self-starter with a history of successful project delivery and the ability to distill complex concepts to multiple stakeholder groups and leadership teams. You must be proactive, solution-oriented, organized, and analytical, while using strong judgment and communication skills to interact with a variety of people.

Key Responsibilities

Understand and articulate domain roadmaps and problems to solve

Define project objectives, scope, deliverables, and key dates

Establish project team roles and responsibilities

Create cross-discipline project plans with a variety of teams required to deliver, establishing key

milestones

Execute project plans and deliver status reporting at various levels with the appropriate detail

Create appropriate communication channels and meeting cadence to facilitate communication

Build relationships with team members and stakeholders

Support transparency in the development of products and features

Proactively identify risks/opportunities and surface recommendations/learnings to drive their

mitigation

Coordinate all areas of the business in preparation for the release of new features, products, or

services to customers.

Identify inefficiencies and recommend processes to work more efficiently

Utilize tools to document, organize, communicate, and execute (Confluence, JIRA, Smartsheet,

Sharepoint, and others as needed)

Leverage agile methodologies as needed

Qualifications

  • Over 5 years of Project Management experience, preferably in software development

  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and detail-oriented

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong emotional intelligence, and the ability

to adapt content, detail, and approach to match the audience

  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks with minimal oversight

  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environment

  • Ability to be a calming influence in stressful situations

  • Experience with Project Management, Task Tracking, and Documentation tools (Smartsheet,

JIRA, and Confluence preferred)

  • Ability to navigate challenging conversations with leaders and team members

  • Ability to create clarity and structure from nebulous situations

  • Ability to manage multiple projects

  • Ability to shift focus quickly and seamlessly to other priorities or projects

  • Maintain a professional, positive attitude while contributing to a friendly environment for

effective team dynamics.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Adept at identifying inefficiencies and creating/optimizing processes

  • Knowledge of agile methodologies
