Whether it’s an online textbook structured around their course, a digital homework and assessment tool for their students, or help designing an online course with a focus on diversity, inclusion, and accessibility, we find solutions and support university staff to implement them.

Senior Campaign Marketing Executive for Higher Education

We are looking for a motivated, self-driven Senior Campaign Marketing Executive to develop and execute marketing campaigns to grow awareness, adoptions and sales of the Pearson Higher Education portfolio to our diverse B2B educator and D2C student target audiences, using multi-channel campaigns both digitally and offline. You will be accountable for the development and delivery of end-to-end marketing campaigns for our UK and European markets, while working closely with our sales teams to drive lead generation and revenue.

Reporting to the Senior Campaign Manager, you will actively support the Campaigns Team to deliver high-impact campaigns for our brand, products and services. With a vast portfolio, we have a busy annual campaign plan to reach, engage, convert, and retain customers. As well as supporting the campaign team, you will work closely with our product marketing team, product managers and sales teams.

This role allows for exposure to a range of marketing practices and tools, including marketing campaign planning, copywriting, and campaign performance analysis.  

Your Key Accountabilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Planning, developing, and delivering end-end marketing campaigns focused on awareness & lead generation across UK & Europe.

  • Collaborating with colleagues across the business, assessing and prioritising their requests for support effectively, in line with business needs.

  • Communicating campaign purpose and content to the wider GTM team using overview decks including plans, objectives and success metrics.

  • Undertaking briefs to agencies or third parties for marketing collateral, events, promotions, and sales activity.

  • Formulating campaign content including copy creation, image assets and template design.

  • Adhering to brand guidelines and design principles when setting up emails and other collateral.

  • Confidently building campaign landing pages and web updates (AEM)

  • Understanding the Salesforce suite of products, how they operate, sync and utilising these for email builds, data segmentation and campaign management (Pardot, Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Form Assembly).

  • Customer journey mapping to ensure campaign plans can be implemented successfully, with consideration for follow-on email journey sequencing.

  • Reporting and campaign performance analysis (Google Analytics, channel reports, Salesforce)

  • Understanding GDPR rules and how these relate to both B2B and D2C audiences.

Qualifications and skills

The successful candidate will need to possess:

  • Experience in supporting with developing and delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns & lead generation

  • Strong copywriting and proofing skills, as well as a good eye for creative and design.

  • Experience with CRM and email systems - Pardot and Salesforce would be advantageous.

  • Experience in building customer journeys

  • Knowledge and experience of digital marketing channels and tactics – such as email, social, paid media, SEO, third-party advertising and blogging.

  • Exceptional levels of organisation and attention to detail.

  • Confidence in communicating with a range of teams, stakeholders, and colleagues at all levels

  • Confidence and experience with learning new systems and platforms such as content management systems

  • A positive and proactive attitude with results driven mindset, with the energy and resilience to make things happen.

  • A willingness to continue developing marketing knowledge and skills, to stay up-to date with the latest industry tools, tactics, and developments

Desirable :

  • Experience of the HE Sector

  • Experience of both B2B and D2C marketing campaigns

  • Italian fluency
