Senior Automation Developer

Remote - Either UK, Poland or India

HR Operations Department

About the Role

We are building the HR automation team of the future — a small, high-impact group with technology at its heart, focused purely on HR needs. We work side-by-side with HR teams, listening closely, understanding their challenges, and delivering smart, scalable solutions that create exceptional employee experiences.

As an Automation Developer, you will be the go-to technical authority for the most critical and high-profile automation initiatives. Your role goes beyond delivering your own projects — you will actively shape how the team approaches automation, set the technical bar, and help others reach it. You’ll combine deep expertise in UiPath, Microsoft Power Platform, and Copilot Studio with a sharp awareness of emerging trends in automation, AI, and HR technology, translating them into practical solutions that keep us ahead of the curve.

You will be called on to review and refine work across multiple projects, ensure all releases meet our highest quality and security standards, and mentor peers so the whole team grows stronger. By influencing solution design and ensuring the right things get built in the right way, you’ll help us create automation experiences that not only work, but truly transform how employees engage with HR.

Focus Areas & Deliverables

  • Lead high-impact, high-visibility automations from concept through to release, ensuring they deliver measurable employee experience improvements.

  • Advise on solution design across multiple projects, influencing technical approaches and guiding priorities.

  • Scan the horizon for new tools, features, and techniques, and introduce those with clear business value.

  • Act as a quality gatekeeper, reviewing peer work to maintain exceptional technical and user-experience standards.

  • Drive optimisation of existing automations to improve performance, reliability, and maintainability.

  • Actively mentor colleagues, sharing deep technical insights and helping them tackle their most complex challenges.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Deep expertise in UiPath and/or Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot Studio).

  • Proven ability to deliver complex, business-critical automations with significant impact.

  • Strong capability in reviewing and improving the work of others at both technical and design levels.

  • Experience identifying and introducing new tools or practices that lift team capability and results.

  • Skilled in cross-team collaboration, with the ability to influence decisions and priorities.

Desirable

  • Experience with ServiceNow HR Service Delivery or other HR platforms.

  • Background in AI-driven automation or agent-based solutions.

  • Track record of delivering innovations that materially improve employee experience.
