We are looking for a highly skilled Frontend/WordPress Developer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of world-class applications.

Job Summary:

The Frontend WordPress Developer will develop and maintain our blog using the WordPress platform and will also collaborate on frontend development tasks. The successful candidate will be accountable for maintaining high-traffic blogs, ensuring optimal performance, and user experience. This role requires proactive identification and resolution of potential issues, while collaborating with Technology and Marketing teams to align the websites with company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain WordPress themes and plugins.

  • Take ownership of a high-traffic blog, ensuring performance, and reliability.

  • Collaborate with backend teams on production maintenance and applying security patches.

  • Conduct regular audits to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

  • Manage the blog and website end-to-end, ensuring alignment with company goals.

  • Stay current with the latest trends and best practices in web development.

  • Promote a culture of partnership, teamwork, innovation, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred.

  • At least 3 years of experience in WordPress frontend development.

  • Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.

  • Experience with CSS preprocessors like SCSS.

  • Familiarity with frontend frameworks such as React.js (a plus).

  • Experience with Git for version control and tools like JIRA.

  • A high sense of responsibility, accuracy, and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams.

  • Familiarity with AWS services like Elastic Beanstalk and S3 is a plus.
