English Language Learning Head of Client Relations, PTE China in China

The Head of Client Relations, PTE China, will be work with Director, PTE Asia to devise and implement a growth strategy for PTE Academic in China. This role will involve leading a team of territory managers in China, ensuring key growth metrics & KPIs are achieved nationally, and take a leading role in managing key internal and external stakeholder groups.

The Head of Client Relations, PTE China, will work closely with various business functions both nationally and globally from Pearson's English Language Learning Division such as Marketing, Government Relations and Global Product teams to drive the success of PTE Academic throughout China.

Our Purpose - Add Life to a Lifetime of Learning

As the Head of Client Relations, PTE China, you’ll be Reporting into the Director, PTE Asia, responsible for:

  • Manage and develop a team of client relations managers across China; ensuring sales targets and other growth KPIs are met

  • Support in devising and implementing a growth strategy for PTE Academic in China, including the PTE Partner Program.

  • Develop and manage strategic national partnerships and negotiate commercial deals with stakeholders including education and migration agents, commercial and academic language/test prep providers and others.   

  • Devise and implement strategies focusing on developing key growth areas such as testing high school age students and Australia/UK/Canada-bound cohorts, taking responsibility for certain national workstreams/projects.

  • Success will be measured by the achievement of annual sales targets and other KPIs, with evidence of regular monitoring and review and reporting progress to management.  

  • Contribute to expanding brand and product awareness among customers and key external stakeholders.  Support the implementation of communications plans to increase awareness of PTE Academic 

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • 7 years+ experience working in international education/international student recruitment/TEFL and with associated stakeholder groups such as government, education/migration agents, language schools, universities etc    

  • Experience managing remote teams, be able to work independently, while maintaining close alignment/relations with other key business functions such as marketing, to achieve key objectives on a national level, as well as collaborating with Pearson colleagues around the globe.

  • Ability to think strategically, plan and execute, with evidence of successful business growth.    

  • Significant evidence of success in building and maintaining internal and external stakeholder relationships leading to commercial opportunities, particularly in the education sector.    

  • Ability to communicate professionally, clearly and effectively to a range of different audiences. Highly developed oral, written and presentation skills.     

  • Influencing skills and the ability to convince through personal credibility
