About the role:  Reporting to our Lead Engineer, you will work alongside Faethm’s AI and Backend Engineers to solve interesting technical challenges and implement our product roadmap. To give you a sense of our work, we have designed and implemented systems like:

  • deep learning and LLM based learning content recommendation system

  • libraries and APIs for bleeding edge transformer-based NLP model pipelines

  • high-concurrency, low-latency analytics environment across 7 geographic regions to serve enterprise customers all over the world

  • large scale on-demand GPU clusters with Machine Learning / NLP pipelines to extract billions of data points from job ads within a few hours

*As a Software Engineer, you’ll be responsible for: *

  • Building RESTful APIs and micro-services for compute heavy and data intensive Machine Learning models

  • Designing and build highly scalable AI backends using Python, AWS, MongoDB, and Postgres

  • Supporting the consumption of Faethm’s APIs and data outputs by other teams and organisations

  • Driving code quality by facilitating code reviews within the team and ensuring that our engineering practices are followed in relation to testing, security and monitoring

  • Working closely with data scientists and product managers to understand the needs of the customer and our business so that you can build the right features

*To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:  *

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience

  • 2-4 years of experience in a software engineering role

  • Professional experience in Python, including at least one web application framework like FastAPI, Django, or Flask

  • Knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL database technologies

  • Familiarity with micro-services, and containerization

  • Understanding of distributed systems and scalability

  • Understanding of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Big Data Concepts

  • Interest in Natural Language Processing, Embeddings, Large Language Models, and Recommendation Systems
