AI Capabilities Team
The AIC team at the Pearson Poznań office is an R&D unit that creates AI Capabilities (i.e. systems that use AI methods to facilitate the process of human learning). The team consists of AI Scientists, AI Engineers, and Technical Project Managers. Team role is to: Design, build, and continuously improve customer-facing Intelligent Learning Capabilities across Pearson as well as *Provide technical leadership * in the application of AI at Pearson.
We specialise in a variety of intelligent capabilities: Cutting edge applications of LLMs to create new kinds of learning experience, *Adaptive modelling & diagnostic capabilities * that fast-track learners through a course of learning and identify struggling learners, *Natural language processing-based assessment capabilities * that evaluate a learner's soft & hard skills through text or speech.
In our work, we often innovate around implementing psychometric ideas using the latest machine learning methods and prototyping innovative natural language processing methods. We proudly support the Polish AI community by sponsoring conferences (ML in PL, Why R?, GHOST Day, Cloud & Datacentre Day), hosting meetups with communities like Women in Machine Learning & Data Science and Poznański Horyzont Danych, and hosting our own series of open talks & workshops.
Due to the ongoing grwoth, we are currently looking for a new talent to join us, in te role of Senior AI Engineer, please find key role details, as follow:
About you & skills you will need every day, as Senior AI Engineer
Expertise in leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) and generative AI technologies for system development.
Advanced proficiency in Python, with experience in additional languages (e.g., Go, Java, C#, Scala, Rust, C++) beneficial.
Solid understanding of software engineering best practices, including code review, multi-stage testing, and CI/CD processes.
Demonstrated experience in data management and AI/ML tools, including some of the following: PyTorch, ML Flow, or huggingface, Jupyter Notebook, DVC, Neptune.ai, Weights & Biases.
Knowledgeable in scalable architectures using Docker and Kubernetes, and cloud platforms, particularly Azure and AWS
Experience in tech leadership
Proficient with Linux/Unix environments.
Capable of working effectively in a diverse, remote, and asynchronous team environment.
Working proficiency in both English and Polish
Strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Your daily work:
Research and develop systems for e-learning platforms and mobile apps within Pearson.
Collaborate on occasional experimental projects and proof-of-concept work.
Design and develop microservices architecture for backend services.
Ensure high-quality code through peer reviews, CI/CD enhancements, and automated testing.
