Higher Education Data Center Operations Administrator in Noida, India

Background Information : Shared Services, a captive unit, based out in Noida enables positive changes in performance and stakeholder engagement through a centralized operating model. Shared services is a global function supporting Pearson Higher Education. As a team, we manage a variety of data processes to ensure that data is valid, accurate and compliant with governed rules. We also provide solutioning to business teams if they require changes in the database or in the functionality of any tool. As content continues to proliferate across multiple emerging digital platforms, our team provides resources to enable scalability and cost containment. We also facilitate collaboration between business and technology teams who contribute to the products.

Role Description: We are looking for candidates who can take a proactive approach in working with the HE Data and Reporting team to; build reports & dashboards to support business users, maintain hygienic data warehouses, and ensure reliable data integrations.

Key Accountabilities & Deliverables:

Reporting & Dashboards:

Based on instruction from the wider HE Data & Reporting team:

Create and maintain reports in Oracle BI software

Create and maintain dashboards in Tableau

Create report extracts for use in MS Excel

Data Warehousing:

Support in initiatives to ensure key datasets are well documented and working as expected.

Support in creating and maintaining database views in support of team, and business stakeholders' initiatives.

Integrations:

Monitoring the flow of data for key Intergrations.

Reviewing error reports from consuming applications/databases and work to resolve data that failed to interface.

Identifying patterns in failing data that can prompt investigation into larger fixes or improvements.

Candidate Profile:

Core Technical/Functional Competencies:

Experience working with technical and business teams

Should have good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Should be a good team player

Experience writing SQL preferably in BigQuery and/or Snowflake

Experience building reports in Oracle Business intelligence software

Experience building dashboards in Tableau

Education, Qualifications & Training

Essential: B.Tech., BSC or equivalent requisite in any discipline or carry professional degree.

SQL, Master Data, Data Analytics, Tableau, Oracle, Reporting

Previous Experience

Essential: 3-5 years of experience in a data reporting environment

Desirable: Minimum 3 years prior experience in a relevant position

Good personnel management skills with ability to understand business processes and execute routine work.

Should have flexibility to work with international teams where there are multiple time zones to balance
