Workforce Skills Functional Skills Administrator in Minley, United Kingdom
PURPOSE
Responsible for administrating and coordinating Functional Skills Field Army and Initial Trade Training delivery across all Pearson TQ apprenticeship contracts.
CONTEXT
TQ Education & Training (part of the Pearson Group) is a provider of outsourced training services to the UK Ministry of Defence, other public sector organisations and private companies both in the UK and overseas. This role will support Functional Skills Field Army delivery as across all Pearson TQ apprenticeship contracts.
KEY OUTPUTS
To administer and coordinate English and Mathematics Functional Skills Field Army and Initial Trade Training delivery across all Pearson TQ apprenticeship contracts
Register apprentices on the BKSB e-learning platform
Issue BKSB login information to apprentices and monitor the completion of Initial and Diagnostic assessments
Manage Awarding Organisation registration and certification processes for Functional Skills provision, adhering to strict timelines where necessary
Coordinate and manage Functional Skills apprentices, by monitoring and updating the trackers and schedule additional Functional Skills programmes of learning where required
Liaise with military points of contact to organise Functional Skills programmes of learning, non-attendance, and results
Liaise with relevant stakeholders to load apprentices on programmes of learning in a timely manner and update registers and Functional Skills tracker with all bookings
Create attendance registers to effectively monitor attendance and learner progress and update attendance spreadsheet on a weekly basis
Create and disseminate joining instructions for apprentices
Update the Functional Skills course schedule
Email confirmed programme of learning attendance lists to Functional Skills delivery staff
Assist with the creation of Tutor Rationales and Programme Plans
Allocate Functional Skills Tutor to apprentices on OneFile
Process Field Army and Initial Trade Training Functional Skills paperwork on OneFile and update OneFile as required
Schedule all Functional Skills examinations and manage/organise invigilators and exam rooms where required
Support with invigilation when required
Monitor and record Functional Skills results and disseminate to relevant Pearson TQ staff and stakeholders
Process Speaking and Listening Field Army claims with the relevant Awarding Organisation
Liaise with relevant stakeholders and individuals and establish and maintain excellent working relationships within the client and staff communities
To support the Functional Skills Manager/Senior Functional Skills Manager in developing and coordinating the quality assurance systems and processes across the Functional Skills qualifications from both an Awarding Organisation and company perspective
Support the Functional Skills Manager/Senior Functional Skills Manager in Awarding Organisation communications and in coordinating the internal and external verification and standardisation processes
Implement company policies and practices in respect of teaching, learning and student support
Attend and contribute to team and other operational meetings, as required, and disseminate information
SKILLS / EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
ESSENTIAL
Excellent organisational, administration, interpersonal/communication, and relationship management skills
Knowledge of the Functional Skills framework
Excellent IT skills, specifically Microsoft Excel
Ability to manage tight deadlines and conflicting priorities
Ability to promote learning and opportunity for all
DESIRABLE
Level 2 Administration qualification
Functional Skills, Key Skills, or Skills for Life qualifications
Knowledge of Apprenticeships and Apprenticeship delivery
Experience of MIS data processing
Experience of working with military training contracts
