Summary:
The PEACS Software team is looking for a Ruby Software Developer to join a small team supporting a high-volume e-recruitment Human Resources application.
Ruby Software Developer responsibilities include creating back-end solutions, building efficient gems and integrating front-end components. If you’re interested in both getting your hands dirty with writing code from scratch and working with a team in a dynamic and fast paced environment, we’d like to meet you.
Ultimately, you will contribute to all phases of the software development life cycle, from requirements collection and design through deployment.
As a ruby Software Developer, you will:
Work as a member of an Agile team dispersed throughout the globe
Use tools like Jenkins, Git and Docker to manage the development pipeline
Write effective and scalable code in Ruby and Ruby on Rails
Build front and back end components for web applications
Test applications for performance, responsiveness and security
Coordinate with team members who work on different layers of infrastructure
Use large data concepts in a high-volume dynamic data environment
Build internal and integrate external API using technologies like REST, SOAP, OAuth and other secure connections.
Qualifications
BS in a quantitative field (CS, EE, statistics, math, data science)
Object Oriented Software engineering expertise, especially with Ruby on Rails or Java
Python/Scripting development experience
RDBMS experience, especially with MySQL
Experience with Jenkins, GIT, Docker and AWS
Analytical, inquisitive, adaptable, creative
Great collaboration skills
Experience that will set you apart:
High-volume, server-side application development
Experience with managing highly sensitive data and systems
Microservice architectures and integration with a variety of API
Ruby on Rails experience
AWS expertise
Docker expertise
