Our Finance Transformation Delivery Group aims to provide Pearson with end-to-end transformation, change, and project services to deliver key strategic initiatives. We act as trusted advisors to senior sponsors and provide robust support to ensure leaders are able to make effective decisions and deliver transformational change.

Our exceptional team are now looking for an experienced Programme Manager who can deliver a varied portfolio of projects within Finance.

What to expect:

  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.

  • Establish and maintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards, and assessing risks.

  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress.

  • Establish governance structures which is tailored to your individual project’s needs.

  • Compile and submit project status reports to management and other stakeholders.

  • Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary.

  • Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.

What we expect:

  • 5 years’ experience delivering strategic projects and programmes.

  • A recognised project or programme management qualification (ChPP, APM PPQ, PMQ, or MSP).

  • Experience leading, motivating, and managing various project and programme teams, including internal and external resources, while holding team accountable for performance.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to adapt style to be successful with all stakeholders including senior leaders.

  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
