Workforce Skills Sports & Skills Resource Assistant in Harrogate, United Kingdom

Sports & Skills technical resource and lifeguard assistant

The Sports & Skills department at the Army Foundation College, Harrogate are recruiting a full-time 37.5-hour week, multi role store person, bike mechanic and pool lifeguard.

Note. If not qualified, Lifeguard training and or bike maintenance training will be provided.

About us: The Army Foundation College is situated on the outskirts of Harrogate. A purpose-built site for army recruits (Junior Soldiers). Pearson TQ are the education providers for the 16-17-year-old Junior Soldiers. The Sports & Skills Team, deliver a vast array of sports & skills, adventure training and management of the Duke of Edinburgh Award to the junior soldiers.

Contract: Responsible for procuring and maintaining sports equipment. Pool lifeguard duties. Deputise for the manager.

Skills Essential :

  • Computer literate in basic office 365.

  • Able to work to changeable timetables which will include some evenings and the occasional Saturday.

  • Ability to work on your own and as a member of a team.

Skills Desirable:

  • Experience in Management/Supervisory skills

  • Experience working or understanding with the Military or other uniformed services.

  • Experience with equipment management.

  • Swimming Pool Lifeguard.

  • Qualification in bike maintenance.

  • Sports Coach, a coaching experience, or outdoor education instructor.

  • Experience in working with young people.
