Overview

GED Testing Service is seeking a proven marketing leader to strategize, manage and execute the company's overall consumer and B2B marketing efforts. In this role you will lead the marketing team in developing and executing marketing plans to grow student awareness and volume for the GED test and prep products across U.S. and international audiences. You will also develop the B2B strategy to grow GED’s organization clients and execute go-to-market strategies and promotions for new and growing products. We are seeking a well-rounded marketing self-starter who can think strategically, a natural leader who can coach and motivate team members, and an enthusiastic team player who is eager to roll up their sleeves to implement and execute integrated marketing campaigns and tactics. You will come to the table with fresh ideas and insights, you understand digital trends and have a positive, solutions-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop, execute and monitor all aspects of online and offline student and organization acquisition efforts including planning, creative development, vendor management, and campaign analysis to achieve volume goals

  • Manage, guide and mentor direct reports in successfully implementing and executing marketing plans

  • Collaborate with agencies to plan and execute paid digital strategies across social, SEM and SEO focused on acquisition and engagement

  • ‪‪‪‪Own the email, SMS texting and website marketing channels to drive traffic, conversion and growth

  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategy to grow new and existing products, engage audiences and execute product promotions

  • Monitor and share marketing trends and introduce new strategies to grow student audience; establish benchmarks and track results to measure impact

  • Manage marketing budget and forecast planning to achieve desired ROI and targets ​​​​​​

Qualifications

  • 8 years of marketing experience, with majority of experience centered around acquisition and engagement via digital and offline marketing channels including social media, email, website, mobile, and events

  • Experience managing and mentoring a team

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred

  • Overall team player with a strong ability to navigate, collaborate with and influence a cross-functional workforce

  • Entrepreneurial self-starter who seeks new ideas and continuous improvement

  • Strategic thinker combined with strong, detail-oriented execution skills

  • Analytical thinker -- you are a data-driven problem solver comfortable evaluating and interpreting data to drive ROI decisions and optimization

  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to hone in on the needs of diverse audiences

  • Passionate about education and the role of GED Testing Service in improving opportunities for adult learners around the world

  • Preference for candidates located in the Washington, DC Metro area as we will occasionally convene in the DC office when the office re-opens, but willing to consider remote candidates
