Pearson Senior Software Quality Analyst in United States

The Senior Software Quality Analyst performs complex validation analysis to ensure that software products meet design specifications and are within total quality management limits and standards. This includes executing customized validation solutions for the organization’s complex contractual client services deliverables. It also includes reviewing methods and procedures for applicability on new assignments. The ideal candidate should be able to work well in a team environment with limited instruction and demonstrate good judgment in implementing methods and techniques for obtaining results. A senior candidate will also lead a project and coordinate all validation activities for a specific project. They will escalate to management, as necessary, in order to meet project deadlines.

Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with a variety of technology personnel including project managers, business, analysts, data analysts, and software developers to ensure on-time delivery of production validations.

  • Use SAS as a primary software tool to validate contractual production deliverables

  • Effectively query, analyze, and interpret large volumes of data

  • Work in a multi-tasking team environment using strong validation and communication skills

  • Report progress on problems and resolutions to management

  • Devise improvements to current procedures

  • Perform work flow analysis and recommends quality improvements

  • For their assigned programs, lead a team of analysts to perform complex validations

The anticipated starting salary range for Colorado-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $80-90k. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program.

Qualifications

Preferred requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or appropriate combination of education and experience

  • At least 5-7 years of experience in a software validation role

  • Experience using SAS

  • Effectively query, analyze, and interpret large volumes of data

  • Able to communicate in a clear and concise manner

  • Work in a multi-tasking team environment using strong validation and communication skills

  • Proficient in MS Office 365 suite of products
