Pearson Senior Partnership Manager – Early Career in United States

Senior Partnership Manager – Early Career, is a manager role within the Pearson Virtual School business. Reporting to the VP of Career, the position is responsible for developing and executing against the Early Career Solutions strategy, supporting, and driving Pearson wide Early Career Solution efforts, and implementing and grown educational association partnerships across the market. The Senior Manager of Partnerships will need to ensure alignment across the PVS, HE, and WFS organization to help develop and strengthen the Early Career solution with various partnerships and solutions that creates a strong customer centric Career experience that benefits schools, students, families, and partners which consist of Industry Associations, two- and four-year education institutions, employers, and workforce entities.

As Early Career grows its career presence in the market through the development of the Career Solution, this position will need to collaborate with various key stakeholders across Pearson Virtual Schools and Pearson (Assessments, Workforce Development, Higher Education, etc.) to ensure strategic alignment and execution of a Pearson wide Early Career Solution. Through the development and execution of a wide scale Early Career strategy, this position will be integral to the success of Pearson’s broader efforts in the space.

This position will work with educational partners across different industry verticals to develop a strong customer experience for the Pearson Career Solution; minimizing unnecessary development of solutions and partnerships; and working through Pearson partners to help support the creation of a lifelong career learning experience. This position will be responsible for executing on and managing the day-to-day partner relationship, developing a scalable implementation plan with the partner and key stakeholders, and implementing the solution through key stakeholders, researching industry trends and developing strong partnerships with various entities in the space. The Senior Partnership Manager will operate with the responsibility of creating and implementing the framework around Early Career partnerships and operational implementational with financially sustainable, incremental revenue growth opportunities within budget and aligned to business outcomes.

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the Colorado, California, Washington State, New York State and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:

Minimum full-time salary range is between $110,000 to $120,000.

Core Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Work across PVS, HE, and WF verticals to ensure alignment with fellow Pearson team members to effectively manage and implement Early career solutions with partners.

  • Effectively implement and manage relationships with multiple Early Career partners focused on building strong sustainable relationships.

  • In Early Careers in addition to successfully implementing the program create a strategy and when applicable test scalable incremental revenue expansion opportunities.

  • Create playbooks to help support shared growth and strategic objectives with our Career Solution partners Partner with peers across our matrixed organization to create consistent practices and approaches to drive scalable results.

  • Support the successful development of Early Career solutions.

  • Execute on a Pearson wide Early Career Solution strategy that can be integrated across the various verticals.

  • Foster a success-oriented, customer service-focused, accountable environment, and provide day-to-day leadership that mirrors the strategy, mission and core values of Pearson.

  • Implement Early Career partnerships across broader Pearson to ensure we bring to bear the products and capabilities of our global organization for the benefit key stakeholders.

  • Identify innovations important to our partners, and work with peers to identify new operational infrastructure (systems, processes, and/or personnel) required to deliver on these innovations.

  • Measure performance of Early Career Solution and establish targets for improvement with a focus on scalability, engagement, and incremental revenue opportunities.

  • Establish playbook for the implementation and scalability of Early Career solutions for partners (Employers, Organizations, HE institutions, and Workforce entities) with short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills, Experience, and Competencies

  • 4+ years with a combination of business development, external clients/partner management and leading large-scale partnerships and implementation efforts with K12 learners, educators, organizations, higher education institutions, employers, and governmental workforce entities, military, educators, and parents.

  • Demonstrated success at developing and implementing integrated technology strategies, partnerships, and programs which deliver results in alignment with overall business objectives.

  • An exceptional relationship builder/influencer with a proven track record of effectively managing a diverse stakeholder to deliver superior results in both the short and long term.

  • Ability to work within an ecosystem with a diverse group of internal clients along with senior executives across various types of corporate/university/government partners/youth organizations/K12 schools and districts.

  • Operational experience and proven track record within a K12 virtual school at scale.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through influencing others. Proven success in a matrix management environment.

  • Enthusiasm and the ability to thrive in an atmosphere of constant change.

  • Excellent judgement and leadership skills with high integrity

  • Strong strategic consulting skills and experience

  • Excellent communication skills for effective contact and presentation with executive stakeholders with partners and across Pearson

  • Hands on leader with a high degree of personal accountability and integrity

  • Results-oriented professional with strong work ethic. Demonstrated success working independently, working on many activities concurrently.

Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
