Product Data Team

The Product Data team in Pearson’s Global Product organization is a global, central resource managing hundreds of product data attributes for millions of products world-wide, to ensure they are valid, accurate, complete, and compliant. As part of the Product Data team, you’ll be playing a critical part in enabling products to be created, discovered, sold, and delivered.

Project Manager Role Description

We are seeking an experienced project manager to manage development projects for enterprise software. In this role, you will plan projects, track deliverables, report progress, and foster collaboration with other teams. You may also contribute to project prioritization, capacity planning, and process optimization. If you are self-motivated, have experience applying project management frameworks, have led complex cross-functional projects, and have a hunger for learning new things, you’ll succeed in this role. We offer flexible working hours. Sometimes you will be asked to work hours that reflect the time zones of the teams we work with.

Responsibilities

● Apply project management frameworks

● Manage projects varying in size and complexity

● Manage multiple projects concurrently

● Create and maintain project documentation

● Facilitate productive project meetings

● Communicate project updates

● Identify project risks and plan to mitigate them

● Collaboratively solve problems

● Quickly grasp new concepts

● Form strong relationships within and between teams

● Learn about the enterprise systems we work with

● Continuously learn new project management skills and share best practices

Qualifications

  • BA or equivalent requisite experience

  • Experience managing software delivery projects for a global business

  • Experience working in a matrix organization or with distributed, cross-functional teams

  • Basic understanding of systems and software architecture

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred

  • Proficient with Microsoft applications and project management tools
