We are looking for a self-starter with a passion for K-12 Math and the ability to drive educators (at all levels) to make the right decision regarding learning outcome choices for students and teachers.

The National Math Specialist reports into the Vice President of Mathematics Sales but will work directly with Market General Managers, Account General Managers and Curriculum Specialists to help them with sales strategies ranging from prospecting to close for Pearson products, services and solutions respective to your portfolio.

You will be responsible for:

  • Achieving revenue targets.

  • Product and sales presentation training for Curriculum Specialists.

  • Building sales capacity with AGMs and MGMs in all markets.

  • Developing and delivering winning presentations.

  • Developing and executing campaign strategies.

  • Providing customer feedback to sales, product and marketing teams.

  • Developing relationships with key district K-12 decision makers nationally.

  • Representing Pearson as a thought leader.

Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge of and passion for learning in K-12 Math.

  • Proven record of mentoring and coaching colleagues and peers.

  • Academic experience and or training in K-12 Math with proven expertise.

  • Experience in networking with high level district administrators and decision makers.

  • Previous experience in selling and servicing in the education market with a record of achieving target goal.

  • Expertise in training and mentoring and in the delivery of professional development

  • In depth knowledge of K-12 mathematics standards and pedagogy.

  • College degree required with advanced degree or specialty related training highly desirable. Represent.

  • Strong presentation and communication skills – verbal and written.

  • Demonstrate the ability to deliver winning presentations in large and small group presentations.

  • Highly skilled in persuasion, argumentation, and influencing experts and decision makers in the area of K-12 Math.

  • Depth of knowledge of product to be able to demonstrate 100% digitally.

  • Preference with experience in both math and science.

  • Must be willing to travel.
