About the Job

This role will be responsible to deliver high quality DevOps/SRE capabilities ensuring highly automated products been invented and maintained across Datacenter and Cloud environments. With the limitless technology variations, it opens the opportunity for continuous dynamic innovations, conceptualizing strategies that will deliver faster, reliable and scalable applications. You will be hired as one of the best and brightest in your field who can challenge our team to think about solutions differently and contribute to the continuous growth of the team's performance.


You will be part of a global team that will drive best practice in the hybrid cloud ecosystem, we work in a lean agile fashion with fortnightly sprints. You will be expected to collaborate with and support other agile product development teams and operational teams whose primary responsibilities are defined under the given five pillars.

Scope also includes working hand in hand with global engineering teams, collaboration on global initiatives and working with highly dynamic agile environment. Apart from the Engineering contribution, you are expected to provide on-call support in frequent basis where you are required to attend priority 1 and priority 2 incidents with operations personnel. Some travel may be required as per the business demands. (subject to government travel regulations)

About You

We’re looking for passionate engineers with a hunger to learn and adapt to new technology quickly. We demand people who are naturally curious, can self-start and share learnings and outcomes effectively with a distributed team.

Things We Expect You to Know:

  • Good understanding on engineering experience with Windows and Linux operating systems

  • Good experience with Cloud computing services (ie: AWS, Azure).

  • Good understanding of config management principles.

  • Good understanding of distributed system design and dependency management

  • Good understanding of monitoring tools, approach and implementation (NewRelic, Zabbix, CloudWatch etc.)

  • Good understanding of GIT process

  • Good understanding of continuous integration practices & tools (Jenkins, GitLab)

  • Good experience in Agile practices and being a part of the Agile team.

  • Experience on applying DevOps skills in production level solutions.

  • Able to collaborate with a globally distributed team of engineers using industry standard collaboration tools.

Our Tools/Technologies of the Trade

We work now with the following tools/technologies, we understand everyone will do a bit of learning on the job, but you will need to be able to meaningfully contribute to a selection of these tools/technologies:

Must have good understand with at least 3 of the items below:

  • Docker

  • ECS

  • Kubernetes

  • Terraform or Cloud Formation

  • Linux or Windows

  • Ansible

  • OpsWork

  • Jenkins or GitLab

Must have good understanding with at least 3 of the languages below:

  • Shell Scripting

  • Python

  • Perl

  • Ruby

  • Powershell

Must have good understanding with at least 3 of the Middleware

  • Tomcat

  • Weblogic

  • Nginx

  • Apache

  • IIS

Should have:

  • Understanding of Relational and NoSQL Databases concepts

  • Understanding on networking, security and load-balancers (F5, HAProxy, webproxy)

Desirable Skills

  • Actively engage throughout the software lifecycle/ Continuous delivery process from inception to operation and refinement.

  • Experience in maintain highly scalable, fault-tolerant and performant systems in conjunction with other disciplines in product engineering teams while focusing security aspects.

  • Build /configure CI/CD pipelines to ensure faster delivery and actively contribute to Delivering web-scale products to a global market at high release velocity

  • Experience working in a test-driven development environment.

Educational Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in DevOps/SRE will be an added advantage.

Personal Skills

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

  • Experience of working in a true DevOps environment with daily collaborations.

  • English as a business language
