Pearson Manager Product Technical Operations in Sri Lanka

Responsibilities

● Manage the 24x7 product technical operations team from Colombo, Sri Lanka

● Manage & work on Roster Management, Shift management, New hires & Training

● Identifies project requirements by collaborating with our stakeholders, analyzing operational data, determining areas of improvement, documenting plan, & delivering on agreed objective.

● Develops solutions by collecting problems and issues from trending report data, investigating possible resolutions by process automation, and executing on agreed plan

● In depth ServiceNow reporting providing daily/weekly/monthly trends inside and outside of our peak periods

● Ability to take ServiceNow reports and convert into dashboard views for executive teams to review

● Attend daily/weekly/monthly status meetings to ensure operational activities are functioning properly with no breaks in service

● Collaborate with global teams ensuring staffing needs are met to ensure proper coverage for support requirements

● Collaboration with other Technology groups within the organization to successfully complete assigned projects pertaining to the product support function

● Ability to understand technology stacks, whether on-prem data center applications or cloud-based applications

● Comfortable performing requirements analysis, interfacing with stakeholders of various levels and documenting solutions

● Excellent interpersonal skills

● Ability to articulate technical topics to non-technical audiences both in writing, in diagrams and in person

● Energetic team player who works well across boundaries and readily adapts to change and enjoys rapid development

● Confident of your skills, abilities and willing to share what you know, while learning from others

Minimum Qualifications:

● Experience with ITIL concepts and practices.

● Knowledge and use of agile concepts and practices

● General knowledge of Data Center & Cloud Concepts

● Ability to work in a global setting with flexibility of working across time zones

● Problem solving skills

● General project management skills and practices
