The role: This is a unique opportunity to be a Revenue leader of Pearson in the markets of Korea. We are looking for a result driven Commercial Lead to build upon the past success of the business, accelerate the drive into new and bring it to new heights.
Drive and grow new revenue generation responsibility for Pearson’s English Language Learning (ELL) vertical in Korea
Achieve the assigned KPIs relating to sales target, gross margin and/or operational efficiency, for example forecast accuracy
Navigate complex enterprise sales processes, relationships, and structures to gain trust and win deals.
Orchestrate cross functional teams to uncover customer needs, understand requirements and create solutions.
Align with Portfolio team on product positioning, business modelling, competitor analysis and new segment strategy
Support Marketing team in ideation of GTM plans, campaigns and programs.
Partner with Sales Development team to generate, qualify and nurture leads.
Work with sales ops team to record, monitor, analyze and report on sales and opportunity pipelines in a timely and accurate manner.
Liaise with Customer Success and Customer Service team to ensure smooth implementation and high utility of our solutions.
5-10+ years track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas in sales, business development, channel and/or partnership management
Proven expertise in solution selling to senior decision makers
Strong commercial acumen and hunter instinct for deals and partnerships
Can do spirit with a result driven, get things done orientation
Deep understanding or interest in the domains of Education, Training, L&D and Workforce Skills is required. Existing network is a plus.
Familiarity of Consumer Tech, Digital Media, Serious Games is a plus
Working knowledge of sales/marketing Automation, CRM and Analytics software is required.
Proficiency in the local language and English is required.
Growth mindset is required; Degree qualified is a plus.
