Pearson is ramping up our newly announced direct-to-consumer division and looking for a strategic product leader who is passionate about delivering high quality experiences for a wide range of E-Learning products. In this role, you will partner with the business, data, marketing and technology executive team to create compelling product strategies, build product roadmaps, and deliver high-quality experiences that delight our customers and drive business growth. Success in this role requires excellent leadership and executive communication skills as well as a strong sense of ownership for a high quality customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand customer needs and translate them into detailed product requirements and user stories

  • Translate strategic business goals into a quarterly roadmap and sprint schedule

  • Lead product execution with engineering teams, work closely with engineering leaders to manage day to day product delivery

  • Work closely with UX design and engineering to create a world-class customer experience to help customers acquire the skills they need to advance their careers

  • Build cross functional relationships with marketing, sales, product, and engineering teams in order to manage complex projects

  • Lead strategic roadmap prioritization, metrics and operations. Drive revenue through new product launches and optimization across all key flows

  • Drive product innovation across all aspects of the learning platform building out A/B testing frameworks, frameworks for allowing widgets and campaigns to compete for exposure, compelling use experiences that drive conversion.

  • Drive data-based decision-making processes for product roadmap and prioritization of initiatives. Build the data pipelines, funnels and events for creating optimized flows for consumers. Build relationship with all data functions within the org.

  • Collaborate with business partners to develop product roadmap initiatives that span Marketing, Merchandising, Pricing & Promotions, Shipping & Fulfillment, Customer Service and Data Analytics

  • Foster a spirit of team unity across product management, design, engineering, and QA and with team members across multiple geographies.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of product management experience in consumer web and/or mobile applications

  • Highly analytical and detail-oriented.

  • Well versed in agile development methodologies and A/B testing methodologies for feature releases.

  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and comfortable navigating enterprise-scale product and engineering environments.

  • Collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams and business partners.

  • Experience with personalization of flows and offers for consumers

  • Motivated, dynamic, strategic and results-oriented.

  • Strong decision-making and prioritization skills.

  • Strong grasp of technology (APIs, etc.)

  • Passion for learning

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to influence.
