Pearson Marketing Manager in India

Purpose:

This is a new role that works hand in hand with our India Marketing Manager, Regional campaign team and Country Sales Manager to accelerate our market performance. You will have experience in activating brand and product campaigns at a local level. You will be hands on supporting our Marketing Manager in executing our India based marketing plans and new product launches.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Leadership/support of the local market, marketing plan:

  • Work in partnership with India Marketing Manager and Sales manager to translate our global marketing strategy into a local India brand marketing plan, including where needed local “jobs to be done” to ensure we are maximising our market growth.

  • Execute our brand and distributor annual marketing plans flawlessly, sharing best practice and data with regional and global teams to fuel a culture of always learning, always improving.

  • Bring our campaigns to life in your markets:

  • Action the transcreation of global campaign to local needs; create and execute local product campaigns.

  • Work in seamless partnership with regional campaign teams to implement “in-market” elements of our campaigns, for example: local events, webinars. Lead the customer training.

  • Be our sales team champion:

  • Create or localise global sales toolkit and taking the lead of team training and local case study development.

  • Partner with the sales team on customer presentation to help build awareness of why institution should choose Pearson as their total solution providers.

  • Put data at the heart of what we do:

  • Gain, share and use local customer insight, competitor and industry trends to improve what we do

  • Use data and insights to drive KPIs for key “jobs to be done”

  • Help build a winning Marketing team:

  • Champion assigned product/solutions to populate specific know-how and ensure teamwork.

  • Actively participate in the global/cross geography projects aiming at creating global campaigns to be later trans-created locally

  • Build great working relationships across the region and in global ELL organisation.

Candidate profile

Competencies

  • Excellent relationship builder with both internal and external teams.

  • Track record of developing and optimising campaigns, with a deep understanding on the country landscape.

  • Good understanding of local consumer and customer and what it will take to ensure they choose Pearson.

  • Experience in executing on promo campaigns across different channels

  • Marketing communications expertise and excellent copywriting skills, both in first language and English

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Enthusiastic, passionate, and creative; thrives on thinking outside of the box to create new best-in-class experiences

  • Action-oriented with a “roll up your sleeves approach”

  • Evident fluency in English Language, being confident in speaking, reading and writing communication.

  • Experience in working in a brand portfolio and delivering the full funnel marketing campaigns would be a plus.

  • Travel readiness for up to 15% of time in the region.

Education, Qualifications & Training

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent preferred, you may also benefit from holding a professional Marketing and/or Sales qualification
