Pearson Associate Content Producer in India
The Associate Producer is the key owner and liaison through all functional areas of project management and engages in projects through content planning, content creation, author management/relations, production, rights and permissions, customer acceptance, and archive. The Associate Producer executes the delivery of all assigned program components and project tasks over the entire program lifecycle (initiate, plan, build, execute, control, release). The Associate Producer is accountable to deliver high-quality, commercially successful digital programs on time and within budget.
The Candidate: You are a digital project manager and producer capable of working effectively under multiple simultaneous deadlines with a variety of team members and vendors. You are comfortable determining and communicating risks during production. You are an agile problem solver, ready to propose solutions to any issues uncovered. You are flexible and adaptable, with a positive attitude when operating in an environment of continual flux.
High-Level Responsibilities
Ensure that digital products are produced with the highest quality; and comply with Pearson Accessibility Standards during the development
Manage digital assets through the Quality Assurance process in JIRA: send work to QA, review reports, manage and traffic bugs, and resolve reports for asset release
Follow established processes using project management software and tools
Communicate with the team regarding workflow, process, schedule, and deliverables
Manage multiple assets at different stages in the product lifecycle
Manage vendors for digital production, quality, and accessibility testing
Work with the Portfolio team to prepare the P&L for each program.
Set content plan, rights and permissions plan, and Learning Outcomes/Efficacy requirements.
Work with other team members to ensure the successful implementation of the program plan and program goals.
Act as the point of contact for project managers, content strategy, and other team members.
Work with program team members to identify and resolve risks and problems.
o Scope includes all program components (main product + instructor or student resources, print and digital).
Manage a select number of digital projects including audio/video, animation, interactive, and simulations.
Manage author relationships and hire/manage other content creators, monitor rights and permissions and work with content providers to remediate rights issues, and resolve editorial questions during content creation and production as needed. May review text, and covers during production as needed.
Communicate project status to all stakeholders, and perform reporting on projects as required. Lead or participate in regular meetings with all key stakeholders and work to identify and remediate project risks.
Create and monitor project schedules; track project milestones, identify problem areas before they impact the project and coordinate corrective actions.
Create and manage the project budget, communicate problems, and work with the Courseware Portfolio Manager to remediate.
Ensure content adheres to the project plan and meets Pearson standards and requirements.
Maintain key product information in Pearson systems.
Issue and manage Contracts/POs along with processing all invoices for payment, where applicable.
Accountable for the final quality of the project in terms of Q&A, budget, schedule, delivery, and quality specifications and release.
Use web-based tools for project tracking.

Qualifications
Experience managing medium and large digital projects using project management software and tools (i.e., Smartsheet, JIRA)
Working knowledge of digital tools; Learning management systems, courseware, digital learning applications, HTML, EPUBS, eReaders, and other educational technologies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of digital content management and workflow– production, QA testing, and deploying digital products
Ability to identify, monitor, communicate and mitigate risks in production and QA phases of the digital product lifecycle
Holds a master's degree
