Pearson SEO Strategist/Copywriter in United Kingdom
Seeking an experienced SEO Strategist to join our EComm Experience team.
In this role, you will work closely and collaboratively with key stakeholders: UX, UX Research, UX Writers, Product Marketing, Product, etc. You will be a strategic thinker who is curious and a self-motivated contributor with a strong understanding of business strategy, user personas, how competitors are showing up within the EdTech space, and how to use data analytics to drive strategic UX content decisions.
You will be our in-house SEO expert, leading all SEO efforts to drive traffic and revenue and partnering with different teams (from creative and product marketing to product management and tech) to bring your e-commerce SEO vision to life
You will perform keyword research in order to increase our product visibility for the direct-to-consumer team.
You will balance technical SEO best practices with the ability to define search trends that align to key user persona journey
This role will prioritize getting our users to discover our direct-to-consumer offerings and convert – this will be in collaboration with the Product Marketing and Product team.
Exceed SEO growth traffic and revenue targets, driving double-digit annual growth
You will be the Direct-to-consumer Team's SME for SEO copy optimization, helping to optimize DTC sites.
Ensure we follow SEO best practices, from on-page content, to supporting tech on back linking and migration efforts.
Identify SEO performance issues, find root-causes, and implement systematic solutions
Research search trends and update your strategy accordingly (especially with seasonal shopping trends)
Build and expand partnerships with other SEO teams, meeting regularly to share best practices and proactively seek growth opportunities
Perform keyword research to identify and go after incremental marketing opportunities
Stay up to date with the latest developments in the industry and the competitive landscape
Knowledge & experience
Expertise in latest SEO algorithms, technologies, and implementations
Proven record of increasing organic traffic through scalable, global solutions
Experience in structuring and implementing initiatives at scale with product and engineering teams.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in performance measurement, business case development, and ROI assessments.
Top notch communication skills: Ability to effectively engage with technical and business stakeholders at all levels
Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence business leaders.
Demonstrated track record successfully managing ambitious and operationally complex projects with cross-functional teams.
Background in establishing systems: experience developing processes where little exists, and demonstrated flexibility to get things done.
Thrives in ambiguity in a fast-paced, hyper-growth organization.
Experience working directly with Product and Marketing teams to drive Marketing projects, with a solid understanding of information architecture
