The Technical Product Manager will be a critical part of a small team focused on ensuring clear and concise communication of all of the details necessary to implement and maintain the operation of industry-leading products.You will be the main product representative for your development team and will handle all day to day interactions with developers, testers, project managers, and product managers. You will have an affinity for technical topics and an interest in developing and maintaining services that meet a wide array of complex user needs and business logic.The successful candidate for this position will be an individual who has demonstrated experience working with business and technology stakeholders to understand, document and manage their requirements and operation of software applications. You are a self-starter, a strong communicator and are able to quickly establish a trusted relationship with cross-functional team members. You thrive on investigating complicated requirements with unknown dependencies and finding order within chaos. You are a go-getter with a desire to work hard. Creativity and strong communication skills are a MUST!

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Product Managers to provide detailed feature and capability requirements for the members of an agile development team.

  • Work closely with the development team to create feature stories for the agile backlog.

  • Facilitate and/or attend ad-hoc requirements gathering/clarification meetings.

  • Define acceptance criteria for feature stories.

  • Answer requirements questions in JIRA tickets, SNOW, slack, hipchat and other communication channels.

  • Write tickets for non-functional requirement (NFR) stories and bugs with Engineering and Product Management.

  • Update expected results on bugs discovered by QA.

  • Assist the development team in sprint completion by ensuring stories/bugs are in the correct status, facilitate unblocking of any blocked tickets, ensure/facilitate partner team collaboration on feature/epic completion.

  • Work with Product Management to perform periodic testing throughout the development process and conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) of completed stories.

  • Document final functionality of new/updated features when epics and features are completed.

  • Become the point of contact for partners teams with questions about specific development and operation areas of PTE-A.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or other related discipline required.

  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFE) Certified.

  • ISEB Foundation Software Testing Certified.

  • Minimum of 5 years prior experience with configuration, change and release management tools.

  • Incident and project management through ITIL processes, Agile Lean methodologies.

  • Experience utilizing tools such as Frontrange ITSM, BMC Remedy IT Service Management, ServiceNow, JIRA, TFS, Microsoft Project 2013 and Balsamiq.

  • A strong understanding of diverse infrastructure platforms and infrastructure concepts required.

  • A strong understanding of the SDLC and the Agile software development methodology required.

  • Experience in a production environment supporting mission-critical applications required.

Key Challenges:

  • Working in a high pressure environment where priorities often change and need to be addressed rapidly.

  • Supporting releases from an agile development team while maintaining production services.

  • Covering a 24/7/365 operation which requires working unsociable hours, on call and overtime where necessary.

  • Visiting different sites to support and install solutions.
