Pearson Marketing Assistant - FTC (Hybrid) in United Kingdom

Summary of role

Established in 2002, Escape Studios offers an industry-focused education in creative and business and tech subjects.

This role sits within the External Relations team at Escape Studios. Behind the scenes of the school, the Marketing, Recruitment and Communications teams work hard to build our brand and engage with customers and stakeholders. We’re a driven, creative, supportive and fun group of people. We work across the marketing mix to produce materials, events, content and campaigns to engage with our target audiences. We’re data driven and put our customers at the heart of our work. The Marketing Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Marketing Team in driving lead generation for the school. We’re looking for someone with bold ideas and good copywriting skills. Experience in Higher Education is not needed but you must have an interest in education, youth marketing and/or the creative industries.

This is a hybrid position.

Office location: High Holborn

Key responsibilities

  • Support the marketing team on the delivery of marketing campaigns.

  • Support the Marketing Manager with digital marketing activities, producing content for paid media placements, social media and email campaigns, and maintaining supplier relationships.

  • Produce marketing materials and content such as digital guides, printed materials and online campaigns to promote our degrees, courses and products to target audiences.

  • Develop and deliver marketing campaigns to promote undergraduate open days, including driving bookings, encouraging attendance, writing promotional content and organising paid advertising. Work closely with the Events team to promote these events.

  • Support the student recruitment team on stands at recruitment events.

  • Manage student recruitment event email follow-ups.

  • Provide accurate reporting and analysis.

  • Be a champion for web content and for using our website content management system (training will be provided).

  • Be willing to learn about website customer journeys, sharing best practice examples with the team.

  • Produce engaging copy for emails, web, print, online and social media channels.

  • Update web copy on an ongoing basis.

  • Maintain external school profiles and course listings up to date.

  • Undertake multiple projects whilst meeting deadlines and maintaining high quality outputs and attention to detail.

  • Provide administrative support, including raising purchase orders, booking meetings and taking notes.

  • Provide support for our enquiries hotline and website live chat.

Essential skills and qualifications:

  • Show a willingness to learn and the ability to become highly proficient in all aspects of the marketing mix: digital marketing, content, print, web, email, direct and student recruitment channels

  • Show a willingness to learn about website content and customer journeys

  • Good copywriting aptitude

  • Demonstrate flexibility within role to ensure support is provided to major campaigns or events

  • Confident and clear communicator

  • Good teamwork skills

  • Good organisation and time management skills

  • Ability to work independently

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite – Microsoft Teams, Outlook email and calendar, Excel, Word, PowerPoint

  • Degree or equivalent

Desirable skills and qualifications:

  • Digital marketing experience

  • Email marketing experience

  • Experience using basic Photoshop

  • A degree in Business, Marketing, English or related subject would be an advantage

  • Understanding or interest in the digital creative industries
