Pearson Manager - Strategic Pricing in Spain

Manager - Strategic Pricing

Strategic Pricing is a critical area for global sales division and we are looking to build a cross functional global pricing capability. Our goal is to enable margin growth through identifying and implementing the right pricing Strategy and methodologies across 30+ countries and 3 key business segments .

This is an impactful role, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing a shared pricing policy across different organizations including sales, product development, finance and marketing.

Roles & Responsibilities

Collaborate with product management and regional sales teams to understand each product line's pricing strategy/market positioning and place in portfolio strategy internationally.

Provide leadership and direction to commercial teams delivering high quality pricing and market analysis.

Manage the process of setting list prices and their adjustments each year/quarter. Collaborate across multiple business units, to articulate findings and lead brainstorming sessions for identifying best Pricing Strategies at segment/region level.

Lead pricing reviews, price setting and monitoring initiatives for complex and multi division deals and business partnerships. Analysis includes margin calculations, market comparisons, historical pricing, and margin impact analysis.

Establish price elasticity insights for key country and customer segments. Understand the competitive environment and competitor’s capabilities. In partnership with finance teams, conduct price performance analyses, publish pricing dashboards, and segmentation analysis to support the pricing strategies.

Lead the price /discount review analyses with our key (100+ ) distributors – Analyse the impact of pricing and contract terms decisions on profitability and region/country profitability.

This is a highly visible role/team in the organization and the candidate must be able to present results and translate statistical and business terminology to senior leadership team.

Profile

Min 5 years' experience in Pricing - (Price setting/monitoring) in an international setting

Highly analytical, comfortable pulling insights from big complex data sets. Prior experiences in finance or data analytics are highly desirable

Strong commercial awareness to inform tactical & long-term decision making

Strong communication, influencing skills and team player attitude

Work Locations : Turkey, UK and Europe (Candidate must be comfortable to work in UK working hours)
