The Pearson School Sales Team is hiring for a 1-year contract Connected Sales Representative.

JOB SUMMARY

The Connected Sales Representative (CSR) is responsible for selling Pearson’s products and services directly to schools. Working in consultation with Account Executives and Regional Sales Managers, the CSR will employ multiple and varied approaches to selling, but will rarely be face to face with our customers. The role is both administrative and sales oriented and includes managing customer data, responding to customer inquiries, sales prospecting and closing. The ideal candidate should be curious, detail-oriented, flexible, collaborative, a user of google apps and social media and should have some experience in sales, marketing or customer service. Familiarity with the K-12 education market an asset.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a university degree or equivalent experience.

  • A minimum of 3 years of selling, marketing, customer service or teaching experience, in any combination, is preferred.

  • Minimum travel may be required during peak selling seasons, conferences and for regional and national meetings.

  • Excellent verbal, written and communication skills with particular strength in communicating and selling by phone/ email/ virtual meetings.

  • Proficient with Google Docs, Spreadsheets, Video Conferencing and Social Media. Experience with Clearslide and Saleforce an asset.

  • Exceptional organizational skills, detail-oriented and strong ability to multi-task.

  • Self motivated, determined, independent, adaptable problem-solver, who also thrives within a team environment.

  • Desire to succeed in a competitive environment.
