We are looking to expand our current learning design/development team and we are seeking expressions of interest from individuals who would like to help create active and engaging learning experiences for learners. Upcoming roles may include Lead - Custom Learning Development, Learning designers and Senior Learning Designers
Lead - Custom Learning Development
This role will be responsible for leading and managing a project team of learning development professionals.
Ideally you will have the following experience:
Strong commercial experience in developing objects for educational learning environments.
3 years practical experience developing dynamically generated web pages, visual assets, technical content and complex multimedia interfaces, menu systems and interactivities for educational purposes using HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP and XML data objects and integrating these with educational learning management systems (LMS).
Strong internal and external stakeholder engagement/management
Analytical, logic and problem–solving skills for analysing and identifying user needs
Team leading and coaching
Project Managing digital development and production activities
Senior Learning Designers
Learning Designers
Learning Designers will be involved in designing and developing educational solutions and working in a dynamic and collaborative team to produce quality educational curriculum and courses. You will also work closely with Multimedia specialists to design complex online educational applications, interactivities and simulations.
Qualifications
Learning Designers will, ideally, have the following experience:
An undergraduate qualification in Instructional/Learning Design, Education or related field. Equivalent years of education and successful work experience in Learning Design or another closely related field.
Senior learning designers will have at least 5 years’ experience in designing and developing online and/or blended learning in the post-compulsory education or corporate sectors, as well as some experience in leading in small–medium learning design projects
Specific experience in designing authentic assessments and engaging online learning
Knowledge of pedagogical and andragogical learning principles and other notable learning design philosophies, strategies and theories, and the ability to apply those concepts.
Ability to work on complex projects within (sometimes aggressive) timeframes, to multi-task & continually prioritise changing project tasks/deliverables and meet deadlines.
Knowledge and experience with at least one of the common academic Learning Management Systems (Moodle, Brightspace, Blackboard and/or Canvas)
