Pearson Business Development Representative - Recruit in Australia
The role: Reporting to the VP Sales, APAC, the Sales Development Representative is responsible for expanding Pearson Workforce Skills’ prospective customer base. You'll use prospecting strategies to identify prospects and initiate the first outreach to potential customers. The goal is to book calls & meetings and contribute to building the opportunity pipeline for the sales team.
Key responsibilities:
Qualify and contact a high volume of prospects per day.
Conduct initial conversations with prospects to qualify their needs and problem statements.
Schedule discovery calls/ meetings for Account Executives.
Execute outbound playbooks at scale, setting up qualified new business opportunities for our Account Executives.
Generate leads through cold calling, social media, and email as well as leverage marketing campaigns (e.g., webinar, direct email) to book discovery calls.
Input prospect qualification data and communications in HubSpot / Salesforce CRM.
To be successful in this role you’ll ideally have:
Proven track record of success - demonstrable experience as an SDR/BDR with phone experience for at least two years with clear goals and KPI achievement for a sales organization.
Strategic thinker - able to research and understand the ideal Pearson WFS client profile and become an expert on Pearson WFS’ competitive landscape.
A willingness to learn and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment
Sales experience (B2B) ideally within SaaS/HR and or Emerging Tech.
Experience using Hubspot / Salesforce , SalesLoft/Outreach, ZoomInfo/LeadIQ, Gong/Chorus and other prospecting tools is preferred.
