About the job
The right person will be experienced in driving the quality of data for both customer data and product data from an end to end perspective in an eCommerce platform.
We are looking for someone with a passion for quality engineering, technology and eCommerce. This is a unique opportunity for a technologist to help us continue to build something that will directly enhance the lives of millions, by supporting the provision of education on a global scale.
Monitor and audit data quality within project Test Phases.
Liaise with internal and external clients to fully understand data content.
Gather, understand and document detailed data driven business requirements for use by Integration Test teams prior to test phase commencement.
Manipulate, analyse and interpret complex data sets relating to eCommerce integrations supporting integration test teams/phases.
Prepare reports for data analytics and test findings
Create data dashboards, graphs and visualisations
Mine and analyse large datasets, draw valid inferences and present findings to solution architecture and development teams
Performing end to end testing across systems to support the integrated eCommerce journeys for customers
Analyse and perform static testing of requirements and specifications
Design manual / automated tests and test data for validation of data transformations, including data mapping, ETL logic and Source to Target verification
Hands on execution of manual and automated tests, recording detailed results and defects
Skills & Abilities:
A clear understanding of testing methods for API integrations across muti-faceted platforms
Experience working in an Agile / Kanban environment
Strong experience of working with / implementing Risk Based Testing methodologies in order to pragmatically work against tight timelines but able to reduce the level of risk in the overall delivery
Strong communicator within the project team - effective presentation skills of critical issues, testing procedures and testing coverage
Hands on experience with automated testing and automated API testing tools
Excellent knowledge of SQL, Excel, JIRA, Confluence
Working knowledge of XML, SOAPUI, Selenium, TestNG, Jenkins, Java, jUnit, BDD, Maven, Spring framework preferred
Excellent attention to detail and demonstrable problem-solving skills
Experience of working with other teams for end to end testing and collaborating to investigate defects
