Pearson Australia is looking to appoint an experienced Project Editor. The successful candidate will be able to adapt quickly, work in a fast-paced, small team environment to deliver a range of Higher Education Custom print and digital products to market. Working closely with sales, production, copyright and customers. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, high volume and tight deadline driven environment.

To be successful in this role, you will have a combination of project management skills in an educational publishing environment, be solutions focused, have a keen eye for detail and the ability to plan and prioritise a large volume of projects. High-level proficiency in budget control and schedule management is essential to this role.

Selection criteria:

  • Tertiary qualification

  • Demonstrated achievements in print and digital production

  • Demonstrated experience in budget and schedule maintenance

  • Knowledge of, or experience in the higher education custom product (highly regarded)

  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships

  • High level of professional integrity

  • Experience in critical problem solving and reasoning

  • The ability to initiate action and implement improvements
