Pearson Ecommerce and Digital Marketing Manager in Sydney, Australia

Our team: The Higher Education division in Australia focusses on supporting learners and educators in tertiary studies with quality courseware and innovative digital learning solutions.

The role: We’re currently looking for a digital marketing professional with significant experience in ecommerce to join our team, to help us grow direct sales via our ecommerce channels, and improve our end-to-end online customer experience. In this role, you’ll work collaboratively with key stakeholders to define and deliver digital marketing and ecommerce strategies.

What you will do:

  • Define and deliver ecommerce strategy and plans across Australia and New Zealand to drive online presence, engagement and sales.

  • Responsible for day-to-day management of the ecommerce plan, processes and budgets to meet targets and KPIs

  • Provide analysis and performance reports generating insights across ecommerce & digital marketing activities that also inform wider marketing decisions

  • Accountable for leading SEO, Search, email, and automation strategies, supporting both B2C and B2B channels, resulting in a successful end-to-end customer experience

  • Support wider team up to date with emerging trends, innovations and opportunities in ecommerce, digital marketing and apply these where appropriate in role.

To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:

  • Extensive experience in digital marketing, analytics, and ecommerce, including management of large scale digital projects and/or roadmap ownership of ecommerce website/s

  • Proven success in managing SEO/CRO initiatives

  • Demonstrated experience with utilising web analytics (Google Analytics preferred) to make data-driven decisions leading to positive business outcomes

  • Demonstrated experience and ability to work with designers and developers to implement website improvements

  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
