Our Global Product Technology team owns our customer facing platforms by supporting our internal product groups. The best way is by driving advanced AI, ML, personalization and adaptive efforts.

So, we’re looking for someone who wants to own this too and drive all our Global Learning Platform (GLP) advanced data efforts. You will lead the build of advanced data and AI tools and capabilities for our GLP, enabling the next generation of learning experiences.

What do I need to bring to the table?

Now that we’ve convinced you that Pearson is the place to be – what do we need from you to be successful in this role?

We need you to have a(n)…..

  • Mix of hands-on technical expertise, with high-level leadership experience with internal engineering and analytical groups

  • Solid achievement implementing big data systems and infrastructure capable of dealing with petabytes of learner data

  • Aptitude for dealing with structured and unstructured data, query optimizations, and real time low latency data collection

  • Expertise managing with A.I. and machine learning model processing.

  • Deep experience managing infrastructure, data warehousing and storage, databases and data processing

  • Capability to access, manage, transfer, integrate & analyze complex data sets – SQL or map-reduce techniques preferred.

In addition – we’d like you to have:

  • Experience managing complex environments with disparate data sources and data storages…and knowing how to successfully converge this data

  • An aptitude with reporting systems, including implementation of statistical and analytical tools

  • Demonstrated collaborations with 3rd party solutions and comparative status
