Pearson Technical Account Analyst in San Antonio, Texas

Job Purpose

We are looking for people who can become a liaison between our Pearson Infrastructure and Operations (I&O) teams to the many business and product teams we support. In this role, you’ll become familiar with our products and services while keeping close alignment with the customer’s business needs, processes and future directions. The goal is to ensure the I&O teams are closely aligned with what’s important to our customers, reducing barriers and enabling success. You will represent the I&O organization in interactions with internal customers and peer teams across multiple Pearson organizations.


  • Develop a knowledge of the business unit’s products and services

  • Build positive relationships, both horizontally and vertically

  • Think strategically by identifying opportunities to improve processes, interactions, and services

  • Educate businesses about I&O services, processes, roles, best practices and capabilities

  • Work with customers to onboard new products and services into the I&O organization

  • Write and build communications for a variety of channels to reach key audiences and deliver against defined communications objectives.

  • Work closely with Pearson technical teams, the Incident Response Team, and leadership to translate complex technical updates into simple and effective updates for both internal and external customers.

  • Analyze and interpret data to determine the appropriate syntax, style, and grammatical usage in documents

  • Implement tactics within a communications plan based on Pearson's strategies and processes

  • Be accountable for maintaining high and reliable quality standards while working on overlapping assignments in a fast-paced team environment.

  • Promote a continuous improvement of communications in partnership with other teams

  • Professional and timely communication is a necessary trait for this position.

  • Facilitate meetings and reviews with a high degree of professionalism, work ethic and integrity

  • Be creative and innovative with regards to your knowledge and awareness of industry trends and digital advances as they relate to new opportunities and business needs


  • A Bachelor’s degree is required.

  • Education or training in technical writing, technical communications or STEM disciplines is a plus

  • Pearson product knowledge is a plus


  • Experience creating technical content

  • An organized team player who has an ability to manage multiple tasks

  • Relationship builder with the ability to listen, build rapport, and credibility as a strategic partner

  • Experience working directly with engineering teams, product managers, support teams and senior leaders

  • Ability to translate highly technical information into non-technical verbiage and vice versa

  • Ability to effectively present technical and non-technical information to internal customers and senior management.

  • Desire to break down silos, negotiating conflict and problem-solving leading change using positive and collaborative methods

  • Strong communication skills in writing, speaking, and presenting

  • Ability and willingness to learn and experiment with new technologies

  • Some travel could be required (10-25%)
