YOUR CAREER DEVELOPMENT
As a Cloud Engineer (New Grad), you'll be part of a team of people responsible for running some of Pearson's most critical systems at a massive scale. In this role, you will develop the skills necessary to help us deliver our products reliably, securely, cost-effectively, and with maximum performance.

WHAT YOU WILL BE INVOLVED WITH
Working in an Agile team environment, where team members collaborate on strategies that lead to continuous improvement.
Developing tools that proactively automate away painful manual tasks and toil.
Using software engineering methodologies (e.g., Infrastructure as Code, continuous integration and delivery, architecture reviews, etc.) to create and manage infrastructure in the cloud.
Coding with today's cutting-edge technologies including docker containers, and AWS (Amazon Web Services) Lambda.
Employing observability platforms to collect, monitor, and analyze system metrics to maintain and improve the health of our systems.
Participating on the team on-call rotation to ensure our customers are given the best experience possible.

Qualifications
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
BS (Bachelor of Science) or AAS (Associate of Applied Science) degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving systems engineering (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent practical experience.
Exposure to public cloud hosting services like Amazon Web Services, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Must have coding experience in a language such as Python, Golang, or Java.
Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
A drive to learn and apply peer feedback.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
The anticipated starting salary range for Colorado-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $70,000.00-$85,000.00. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program.
