Pearson have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and innovative individual to join the Associate Relations and Development team in our Hellaby office.
The Associate Relations and Development team act in an HR capacity for our contractor community, internally referred to as Associates. The role is extremely varied as the team has remit over all aspects of the contractor lifecycle.
About the role
The Relations Adviser will act as a point of contact/advice/guidance for all areas of the business with respect to Associate related queries and concerns and manage and facilitate a number of Associate related projects depending on how those projects are distributed within the new team. The Adviser may also assume some limited line management responsibility when working with more junior members of the team.
The Adviser will take some of the responsibilities detailed below depending on how tasks and projects are distributed in the new team.
Managing the production and distribution of mass communications to the Associate community through a number of different routes including the Associate newsletter, the Associate COVID 19 bulletin and bespoke communications. This will involve advising on all aspects of communications including wording, timing and content
Responding to general queries from the Associates
Maintaining register of AA queries and databank of electronic FAQs
Working closely with relevant stakeholders to managing the design and delivery of Associate development events
Managing and being the main point of contact for the learning platform Associate U. This will involve liaison with the third-party developer of the platform, managing and commissioning of new learning content, advising and supporting internal teams on the development of existing and new learning content
Managing a number of Associate related projects including the Senior Associate Development Programme, the EQA programme and any other programme which falls under the teams remit
Monitoring evaluation information
Advising teams on performance management concerns
Facilitating performance management conversations with Associates
Leading on and investigating performance management concerns
Managing and investigating escalated Associate complaints
Managing the Associate monitoring appeal process
Managing and investigating conflict of interest concerns
Managing Associate events or campaigns as necessary (Focus groups/ Roadshow)
Taking part in cross-departmental Customer Service initiatives development and retention of Associates.
Maintain appropriate records of activities
Maintain tracking documentation and other records as required for statistical purposes
To undertake additional responsibilities as and when required and to assist with peak activity within the wider team including the management of small projects

Standard 37.5 hours a week, office hours, Monday - Friday but will be required to be flexible during busy periods including the possibility of working at weekends occasionally. Overtime may be paid or offered as time off in lieu.
