About the role

The Relations Team Leader will lead a small team who act as a point of contact/advice/guidance for all areas of the business with respect to Associate related queries and concerns and manage and facilitate a number of Associate related projects depending on how those projects are distributed within the new team. The Team Leader will line manager a number of staff.

Key Accountabilities

Line Management

  • To line manage and support a small team of Advisers and Coordinators in their day to day roles

  • To be accountable for the completion of all day to day / BAU activities of the team

  • To advise on all aspects of the Associate lifecycle including (but not limited to):

  • Performance management of Associates

  • Associate complaints

  • Associate policy

  • Associate contractual terms and conditions

  • Conflict of interest queries

  • To lead workstreams for a number of cross team/departmental projects

  • To manage and act as the main point of contact and liaison for a number of third party suppliers (Associate U – the Associate learning platform, Survey Solutions etc). This may also involve the review and renegotiation of these contracts.

  • To lead on and manage complex escalated complaints

  • Excellent written communication skills. (Essential)

  • Strong presentation skills. Experience of employee relations issues. (Desirable)

  • Line management experience (essential)

  • Experience in a customer facing role or HR role dealing with complex issues and responding within an agreed timescale (Desirable)

  • Intermediate level Word, Excel, Powerpoint (Essential)

  • Self motivated and proactive individual (Essential)

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize a number of projects (Essential)

  • Good interpersonal skills and confidence in dealing with members of staff at all levels within the company (Essential)
