Pearson, the world’s leading education company, is currently seeking an Associate Product Manager for the Healthcare market portfolio. Under guidance from the Director, Healthcare Portfolio Management and Delivery, the successful candidate will provide leadership in managing key healthcare assessment product solutions.

The candidate will participate in executing the product solution delivery strategy and will work with Sales and Marketing to drive successful, measurable commercialization and marketing efforts. Excellent communication skills are required as the candidate must effectively interact with internal (product development, software, R&D, marketing and sales groups) and external stakeholders and customers, such as psychologists and administrators. Experience with clinical assessments and product management is a plus, as are strong analytic and communication skills, as you will need to clearly articulate complex concepts, features, and benefits to customers, partners, prospects and internal teams.

This position will report to the Director, Healthcare Portfolio Management and Delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collects and synthesizes market trends, competitive information and other market data to ensure product and service offerings drive strategic goals, meet market needs and financial targets, and achieve growth objectives for the assigned assessment product solution(s) in the Healthcare market.

  • Identifies assessment product solution opportunities for market segments and presents opportunities for further investigation and development in regular investment or business review meetings

  • Works closely with sales and marketing teams to develop and/or refine Customer Value Propositions and competitive positioning for key assessment product solutions

  • Works with development and user experience teams to create products which deliver high levels of customer satisfaction

  • Helps develop commercially successful assessment solutions (including software, digital, print and professional development offerings) which deliver real value for identified market segments

  • Participates in cross-functional teams from across the business to deliver assessment product solutions on time, to desired quality and within budget

  • In partnership with sales and finance, provides proper forecasting, budgeting and delivery to financial targets and ROI realization for assigned assessment product solutions in the healthcare market portfolio

  • Responsible for managing the day-to-day relationship(s) of authors and consultants within the designated assessment product solution(s)

The anticipated starting salary range for Colorado-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $65,000. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program.

  • BA/BS in Business or related discipline or equivalent experience.

  • Experience in healthcare market, assessment product solutions and digital solutions desired

  • Strong communication skills – able to distill complex ideas and deliver them to a wide variety of audiences and stakeholder groups

  • Ability to participate effectively and build consensus on a cross-functional team

  • Strong analytical and decision making skills

  • Proven effectiveness with budgeting, project approval and production processes

  • Organizational skills: Ability to manage multiple projects in different stages of exploration and development

  • Ability to travel 10-20% based on need (Attending Trade Shows)

  • This will be open remotely but for candidates located in near the Bloomington and Texas office, they will be recommended to work Hybrid (remote and in-office), schedule will be arranged.
