Qualifications

Purpose

To lead and manage the content creation for a component or service working within a project team; To champion new workflows and tools for the continuous improvement of content creation; To provide appropriate support and training for content creation staff or freelancers using prescribed content creation tools

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with members of project team to create plan to complete assigned content creation tasks; contract editorial freelancers as needed; supply them with comprehensive writing briefs, content templates, and templates for art and media briefs

  • Work with authors to develop content in order to ensure high quality of learning materials and improve learner outcomes

  • Provide support to editorial freelancers and Associate Content Developers in the use of content creation tools (standard and proprietary)

  • Review quality of freelancers’ work as needed; give feedback to writers and editors on any recurring issues related to content creation

  • Keep content creation briefing documents updated throughout the content creation process and consistently communicate changes to project team, writers and editors

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • For freelancers, give feedback on any recurring issues related to content creation

Candidate Profile:

  • University/College degree in linguistics, foreign language, or related field or qualification in teaching English as a second/foreign language (Certificate or Diploma in TEFL or TESOL)

  • At least 2 years teaching and/or editorial experience in ELT, linguistics, or foreign language

  • Experience in content creation of digital products

  • Experience using content management systems, learning management systems, and structured authoring tools a plus

  • Ability to navigate a complex international organization effectively

  • Possesses sound business acumen; remains pragmatic, calm under pressure; results-focused

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
