Role location : This is a hybrid role working across home and our office based in Oxford office.
About the team
Our Pearson School Qualifications business supports schools, teachers, learners and their parents throughout their entire school journey, from 4 to 19. Our vision is to be the partner of choice - helping every learner to achieve their full potential.
The Direct-to-Consumer team develop a range of market-winning blended and digital services for learners’ use outside of school. These services cover revision, personalised practice, tutoring and more, across a range of primary and secondary school subjects.
About the role:
We are looking for a (maternity cover) leader of our Direct-to-Consumer Product team; someone who is passionate about the role of technology in education, has delivered commercial success in a product management role, and has a proven ability to inspire and lead product teams.

Strategy development; leading the portfolio strategy to drive ongoing profit growth and contributing to the wider Pearson Schools Qualification Product strategy.
Financial planning and management; leading on the financial planning process for your portfolio, managing your cost centre, and interrogating and improving proposition P&Ls.
Market knowledge and insight; being customer-obsessed, creating a deep understanding of learner and customer current and future needs through ongoing market research and customer interaction.
Proposition development and delivery; creating market-winning propositions that anticipate customer needs and are delightful to use.
Service Management; managing a portfolio of services through their life cycles, making well-timed decisions about developments and initiatives at all stages.
Partnership management; developing and implementing a strategy for where partnerships can add value to development of your portfolio.
Leadership and management; driving a culture where people are curious, have a passion for winning, are continually learning and developing, and are inspired to drive growth.
Who are we looking for?
A product management expert with considerable exposure to the digital/edtech environment.
A track record of delivering market-winning digital products to market.
Experience of consumer services.
An experienced leader of people with the ability to nurture, develop, manage, inspire and empower people.
Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills across multiple functions.
The ability to engage and influence senior executives.
Solid financial acumen and data interpretation skills.
