JOB SUMMARY:
The Media Developer is responsible for creating and implementing product development strategyand managing media products and services in the K-20 education markets. Workingcollaboratively with market strategists and content developers, s/he is accountable forcoordinating the creation, production, testing, and updating of media products.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with and take direction from stakeholders on product development, design, andproduction; could work on part or whole of media program
Oversee external vendors and freelance resources for technical specs, scheduling, andbudgeting.
Provide technical support
Coordinate testing of products, creating test-scripts, quality assurance/quality control plans,documentation, training plans for customer support
Coordinate the production of media products, services, and conversion of legacy content tomeet customer needs
Develop user support documents
Keep current on technologies, learning management systems, and enterprise-wide platforms
Qualifications
Qualifications
College Degree or Diploma in information or web technologies or related field
3 years of demonstrated web/app development experience
Hands-on experience or significant knowledge of ePub 3 standards and coding
Hands-on experience or significant knowledge of coding and programming with HTML5,JavaScript, XML, AJAX, JQuery, JSON, CSS
Proficient with relational databases
Familiar with learning technologies such as SCORM, LTI / QTI, APIs
Strong project management skills
Experience with Agile development and project management
Experience with interface design, UX, and/or instructional design a plus
Experience with front-end frameworks such as AngularJS, EmberJS, Flux/ReactJS a plus
Experience with enterprise server-side technologies such as J2EE and .Net a plus
Knowledge of responsive design and accessibility best practices
Knowledge of Web Analytics and Data Analysis
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-pacedenvironment
