OPEN POSITION: Editorial Assistant, HED

The Higher Education Division has an opportunity for an energetic, self-motivated professional to assume the position of Editorial Assistant. This position is based in the Don Mills office and reports to the Editorial Director.

JOB SUMMARY

The editorial assistant is responsible for supporting the portfolio management team. They organize and maintain reports as required on behalf of the portfolio managers. They commission, obtain, and track product market reviews. They are accountable for the creation of projects in our systems, the processing of payments, and collation of data from market research. The editorial assistant will coordinate miscellaneous administrative tasks and respond to queries and requests from both internal and external sources.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support for Portfolio Managers:

  • Commissioning, tracking, and obtaining reviews for market research.

  • Maintaining status reports as required on behalf of Portfolio Managers.

  • Responding to miscellaneous queries and requests from internal and external sources.

  • Product set up and maintenance

  • Processing of payments

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University or College degree

  • Proficient with computers; including Gmail and other Google systems and Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills

  • Administrative experience would be an asset
