Job Purpose

Data Storyteller (Business Presentation Specialist)

The Content and Presentation Specialist will be responsible for managing all things related to presentation strategy and content design that applies to business documentation. This person should be skilled as a designer, strategist, and collaborator, with proven abilities in producing visually interesting materials to convey complex information clearly and with impact. This person should be comfortable making recommendations about the most effective methods for visual storytelling.

Qualifications

• This person should be comfortable making recommendations about the most effective methods for visual storytelling

• 2+ years mastering various presentation software to create compelling stories (Microsoft Powerpoint, Adobe Illustrator etc.)

• Understanding of fundamentals of graphic design (layout, typography, color, brand) as it applies to business documentation and presentations

• Portfolio showing similar work such as speaker presentations, annual reports, proposals, etc.

• Strong time management skills

• Excellent oral and written communicator and storyteller

• An astute design eye, passion for accuracy and detail, and an ability to simplify complex concepts

• Experience with creating infographics and data visualization to create convincing stories

• Understanding of the fundamentals of content marketing and effective storytelling

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leadership and key stakeholders to define presentation objectives and translate information and messaging into effective presentations

• You will work with consultants to understand their data and ideas and help convey them in a professional way by transforming them into clear, compelling, highly accurate, and visually attractive presentations.

• In this role, you will make complicated business topics clear through business presentations that are easy to understand and visually pleasing to the eye.

• Design and prepare engaging presentations with convincing content, relevant information hierarchy, and effective visuals

• Partner with presenters across the company to develop impactful narratives, support their storytelling and presentation development, and act as the overall producer for the end-to-end narrative

• Create clean, professional presentation layouts that adhere to brand standards/existing templates

• Administer and maintain the presentations, slide libraries, and version control

• Respond to requests quickly, understand creative direction, and perform multiple rounds of edits when necessary

• Lead cross-functional coordination, including content and asset development

• On a daily basis, you will determine which charts are most appropriate for specific data stories, which framework to use to create effective slides, and how to make information engaging, informative, and compelling.

• You will work with very tight deadlines, from 3 hours to an hour or even less.

• Your organizational abilities will enable you to manage all assignments smoothly, and you will have a team supporting you.
