Pearson C1-Content Business Analyst in Noida, India

The position is responsible for supporting the management of supplier landscape and developing global sourcing strategy to support Pearson's content development requirements. This role requires working extensively with the suppliers, procurement team, content services centre (CSC) team and business stakeholders to leverage content sourcing requirements at competitive prices from market leading suppliers. The individual must collaborate with local teams to share best practices across business verticals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support Global Supplier Relations team by performing market analysis and surveys for different service requirements of the business.

  • Work with business and support spot buying / ad hoc project requirements

  • Collaborate with procurement to profile suppliers / support RFx requirements

  • Maintain / update comprehensive profiles of suppliers and support business in finalizing their outsourcing strategies.

  • Update and maintain supplier landscape pool relevant to all Pearson business units

  • Implement innovative sourcing strategies to drive continuous improvement and support savings initiatives

  • Work closely with business and legal teams to negotiate contractual terms with new and existing suppliers.

  • Maintain database of content contracts and take timely action for their renewal/expiration/amendment as needed Escalate issues and risks faced by business teams in a timely manner

  • Flexibility to take on additional challenges and work with stakeholders across multiple time zones.

Required Skills/knowledge/Experience

Additional Requirements

  • 4+ years of post-qualification work experience in content management / supplier relationship management or related field

  • Experience in contract management

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing organization needs

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Experience working in a global corporate environment within a matrix management structure is desirable.

  • Post graduate qualifications (MBA/PGDBA/Masters) or professional certifications is desirable

  • International travel required
