We are looking for :

An experienced and enthusiastic Senior Editor to work in the ELL Literacy LatAm team.

Able to work as part of project teams developing English Language Learning materials for both ELT and Literacy Products, to be delivered in a wide variety of print and digital formats.

Key responsibilities will include :

Engaging in market research with a commitment to gaining a thorough understanding of teachers’ and learners’ needs and applying this knowledge to product development decisions.

Developing content to maximize its educational effectiveness and appropriateness for Bilingual schools.

Liaising with other members of the editorial and cross-functional teams, to develop materials, fostering a collaborative team dynamic and promoting continuous improvement.

Managing the development of groups of interdependent components to ensure publication to agreed budgets and schedules.

Briefing and overseeing the work of freelance editors and authors with accountability for quality.

Providing input to Sales and Marketing colleagues to support promotional campaigns.

Qualifications

Requirements :

Proven editorial experience in ELT publishing, preferably for the Literacy and Bilingual markets.

Experience of project management, and commissioning and managing writers, freelance editors, and other external suppliers.

Experience of developing content for complex multi-component courses.

Solid understanding of publishing processes and how different stages impact on delivery.

Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines.

English 100%, Spanish 80%, Portugues is desirable
