The role: The Platform Product Manager is responsible for the development and execution of the customer-centric approach for Pearson Australia Schools platforms and associated capabilities that ensure first class customer experiences of Pearson’s market leading courseware. This role has strong dependencies and stakeholder management responsibilities and aligns with marketing, content, and technology leaders to bring product and platforms together with a CX lens. The core goal of the successful applicant should be to drive competitive advantage for Pearson across all platforms. For clarity, this role is not focused on content discovery or delivery rather the platform execution of this courseware in an effective way supported by a strong CX platform strategy.
What you will do:
You will play a key leadership role in product planning and design to ensure the suite of products is differentiated from competitors in the marketplace across K-12
The intersection of a strong background in technology, product development and business reporting (with a strong focus on data) - and the ability to translate across these disciplines - is the key requirement for success for this role.
Manage the long-term roadmaps of local teaching and learning applications in alignment with Pearson Go- to-Market, Product Lifecycle, Security and Privacy and in conjunction with the Product Owner Teaching and Learning team, Content team, UX, and Sales and Marketing.
Track the overall market and competitiveness of digital teaching and learning products.
Acts as a bridge between the content development team and the technology team, interpreting and translating requirements and coordinating engagement proactively.
To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:
Significant experience in developing digital product roadmaps.
Experience gathering product insights through data channels and user research.
Strong experience and knowledge of AGILE methodology including the writing of user stories and acceptance criteria.
Understanding of LEAN and Product Lifecycle.
