We are looking to expand our current digital design and production team to help create educational visual, graphic and multimedia assets and objects for digital learning projects, while mentoring multimedia officers.
Working in a growing Digital Learning Innovations team, these are 2 year fixed-term, full time roles, although individuals seeking part-time work (4 days per week) may also be considered.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Design and develop web-based interfaces and interactivities for educational purposes.
Produce look and feel designs, complex multimedia interfaces, landing pages and graphics elements for online and blended learning, based on client design briefs, wireframes and storyboards.
Conceptualise, design and create artwork, animations, 3D objects and other and visual assets from original concept to final product for clients.
Work closely with Learning Designers, often working remotely, to build complex online educational applications, interactivities and simulations.
Develop dynamically generated pages, technical content, animations and online multimedia content that conforms to international (W3C) standards using industry software, integrating with the LMS, ensuring accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA), re-usability and ease of maintenance
Supervise Multimedia Officers
Produce, source, edit and professional quality photographic, video and audio content into an LMS.
A diploma or degree in Multimedia Design or equivalent
Demonstrated skills in multimedia design, illustration, animation and development in an education setting for a minimum of 3 years.
Proficiency in the use of industry standard design packages to produce documents, images, animations, interfaces and interactivities for the web and digital publications. Related technical and software knowledge and experience will depend on the role and may include:
Adobe Suite – Photoshop, Acrobat, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, After Effects
Articulate 360 Suite -Storyline, Rise, Studio, Peek
Digital still/video camera skills including processing and compression of images, video and audio content.
Knowledge of user experience design and other notable design philosophies, strategies and theories, and the ability to apply those concepts to educational contexts.
Familiarity with relevant computer programs and course delivery platforms including intermediate-advanced proficiency with Google Apps suite and Microsoft Office suite
