We are currently seeking two Learning Designers to join our team on 12 month fixed term contracts.

Key Responsibilities will include:

● Designing and developing educational solutions based upon client needs.

● Working collaboratively in a dynamic and collaborative team to produce quality educational curriculum and courses.

● Actively engaging and collaborating with subject matter experts, academics and other stakeholders, as well as colleagues, often remotely, during the design and development of programs and courses.

● Working closely with Multimedia specialists to design complex online educational applications, interactivities and simulations.

● Contributing to and creating wireframes, assessments, storyboards, delivery plans and facilitator guides.

● Contributing to the update and maintenance of Australian processes, templates, tools and documentation for Learning Design and Development

Qualifications

  • An undergraduate qualification in Learning Design, Education or related field. Equivalent years of education and successful work experience in Learning Design or another closely related field, with ID/LD certification, will be considered.

  • ideally you will have at least 12 months experience designing and developing online and/or blended learning in the post-compulsory education (VE/HE) or corporate sectors.

  • Specific experience in designing authentic assessments and engaging digital learning for post compulsory education.

  • Specific experience in designing active, student-centred digital learning for adults.

  • Knowledge of andragogical learning principles and other notable learning design philosophies, strategies and theories, and the ability to apply those concepts to digital learning.

  • Ability to articulate learning objectives/outcomes that are practical, focused, concise and measurable.

  • Analytical, logic and problem–solving skills for analysing and identifying user needs, proposing solutions and logically organising complex information.

  • Ability to transform complex bodies of information into professionally designed, engaging and effective learning.

  • Ability to work on complex projects within (sometimes aggressive) timeframes, to multi-task & continually prioritise changing project tasks/deliverables and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, especially written and oral communications skills, including being able to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms.

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with SME’s, project managers and collaborate both in person and long distance.

  • Knowledge and experience with at least one of the common academic Learning Management Systems (Moodle, Brightspace, Blackboard and/or Canvas)

  • Familiarity with relevant computer programs and course delivery platforms including basic knowledge of rapid development apps/software such as Articulate 360 and H5P.

  • Attention to detail, organisational skills, self-direction, and motivation.

  • Key personal qualities include: solid work ethic, dependability, initiative, strong integrity and accountability, high level of flexibility, leadership, creativity, imagination and artistic flair, can-do attitude.
