We are looking for someone to lead our expanding learning design team. This role requires someone with a strong grasp of online educational models and best practices to help operationalise and deliver on client online learning design projects. This role will guide and grow the team of experienced learning design professionals; helping them to explore and adopt new practices, maintain efficiencies, and ensuring the team members continue to expand their expertise and are empowered to deliver to the high quality standards expected.
Key Responsibilities will include
Managing a diverse team of Senior Learning Designers, Learning Designers, and quality assurance staff, that is largely working remotely and across regions, to produce quality online learning/educational solutions.
Consult with clients and act as a resource regarding best practices for learning/educational design and online learning expertise.
Maintaining and sharing knowledge of industry best practices for the design and development of online learning.
Adapting when necessary processes, templates, tools and documentation to suit client needs.
Actively engaging and collaborating with subject matter experts, academics and other stakeholders, as well as colleagues, often remotely, during the design and development of programs and courses.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing diverse learning design teams
Minimum of 5 years’ experience designing and developing online learning in the post-compulsory education sector.
A postgraduate qualification in Learning Design, Education or related field. Equivalent years of education and successful work experience in Learning Design or another closely related field, with ID/LD certification, will be considered.
Proven stakeholder engagement and learning design project management skills.
Specific experience in designing authentic learning and assessment strategies and engaging online/digital learning approaches, and in adapting educational models.
Strong grasp of pedagogical and andragogical principles and other notable educational and learning design philosophies, strategies and theories, and the ability to apply those concepts.
Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with team members, colleagues, clients, SMEs, project managers and other stakeholders, and collaborate both in person and long distance.
Availability to travel and participate in face to face client meetings from time-to-time
